8 years experience providing instruction in many styles and ability levels. Ages 6 and up.

Justin has taught at Jack's Drum Shop, Robinson Music, Centre Music, and the Middlesex Summer School of the Arts.
Justin is available for private instruction on Drum Set, Mallets, and Percussion in the Newton, Watertown, Brookline, and Waltham areas.
Styles of expertise include Rock, Jazz, Latin, R&B/Soul, Funk, with emphasis on time, groove playing, sight reading, rudiments and technique, solo construction and improvisation, inter-dependence, and song form.
Lessons are available in 30 min., 45 min., and 60 min. time slots to suit the needs and schedules of the student. All ability levels accepted, ages 6 to adult.
Justin brings a calm, patient, easy-going demeanor to his lessons, creating a fun and exciting learning environment.
A graduate of Berklee College of Music, he brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to each lesson. He uses the many books, videos, transcriptions and recordings he has accumulated over his career to bolster the learning experience.
Justin is a profesional drummer in the Boston area, with experience as a session recording artist and touring musician.
His recording credits include Manhattan Center Studios, Mockingbird Studios, Incredible Steps Productions, and Sound Museum, for artists Alley Blues, Ruane Sibley, Kristin Fehlau, Magdalen Hsu-Li, Adam Ezra Group, Budweiser True Music Tour, Michelle Lewis, Beantown Project, Casey Desmond, and Pauline Pisano.
A dedicated and knowledgable teacher, Justin conducts his lessons with a patient, easy-going demanor, creating a relaxed environment condusive to learning an instrument.
He believes that drums are meant to be fun and exciting, and strives to convey that to his students.
Justin continues to seek out new and challenging musical opportunies to grow as an artist and sharpen his craft.
