Tutoring by Kathryn
Kathryn has worked as an educator since 1985. She completed her undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, California, specializing in international economic development, history of science, western philosophy, and gender studies. She currently teaches university-level courses in anthropology, sociology, religious studies, and international economic development. She has become proficient in learning, language, and human cognition.
Academic Coaching and Tutoring
Private, individual tutoring for students and adult learners ranging from middle school to postgraduate studies, and everything in between. Scheduling is flexible. Weekend and evening appointments are available. Academic support is offered in reading comprehension and speed, writing and editing (essays, research papers, reports), project planning and completion, critical thinking and analysis, research strategies, test preparation, and learning skills (organization, time management, and motivation). Special expertise is offered in religion (the power of belief), western social theory, and poststructural philosophy (the work of Michel Foucault, drawing on Friedrich Nietzsche's "The Genealogy of Morals").
