Our Doctors
John M. Abbondanza, O.D., F.C.O.V.D.
Dr. John is a 20 year member of the American Optometric Association and a clinical associate of the Optometric Extension Program (OEP), which is the national organization of Behavioral Optometrists. He is board certified in Vision Therapy as a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD). Dr. John serves on the Northeast Regional Congress of Optometrists Committee where he was recently appointed Chair of their Clinical Seminar.  He is also on the Budget Committee of the COVD, and is the Massachusetts Chairman of the OEP.  Additionally, Dr. John is the Massachusetts leader of the national InfantSEE program.
Dr. John enjoys singing as a cantor and is in the choir at St. Rose of Lima parish.  He lives in Northboro with his wife Jini and daughter Nicole.
Paul E. Levine, O.D., F.A.A.O.
Dr. Levine completed a one year residency in Primary Care Optometry at the South Boston Community Health Center in conjunction with the Boston Medical Center. Additionally, he completed internships at the FDR VA Hospital in Montrose, NY, Dorchester House Clinic, South Boston Community Health Center, and New England Eye Institute’s Pediatric and Binocular Vision Specialty Clinic.
Dr. Levine is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (AAO), a member of the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists, the American Optometric Association, AOA Low Vision Rehabilitation Section and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
Insurance Information
As a convenience to our patients, we accept most major insurance plans, including HMO Blue and Blue Care Elect, Blue Care 65, Tufts and Tufts Medicare Preferred, Harvard Pilgrim, Cigna, Aetna, Medicare, and Medicaid, as well as others. We also accept many vision plans, such as VSP, Davis Vision and EyeMed. Exact coverage will be dependent upon the service provided, your eligibility on the date of service, and the benefits as outlined in your plan.
