Our school offers a high quality, creative, and educational environment with well-equipped classrooms and a spacious beautiful outdoor activity play area with places for quiet as well as active, staff-supervised play. Our Philosophy
We understand the importance of a consistent, nurturing environment, as well as complex and challenging activity for every child’s emotional, cognitive, linguistic and motor development. We believe that all children are unique and should be encouraged to give their minds and hearts voice…abundantly.
Children learn best if they are immersed in complex experiences and given the opportunity to actively process what they learn. True learning is always a consequence of thinking and reflecting. We expect and encourage this process in our teachers, our children, and their families.

Curriculum
Our goal is to provide a high quality environment, which is rich in stimulation, interaction, discussion, and activity, while teaching children to seek additional information. During each day at our school there are structured, unstructured, active, and quiet activities. These may include art, music, and story time, outdoor play, puppetry, block play and dress up.
Our curriculum is based on sophisticated approach of alternating teacher-directed formal instruction with child-directed exploration and play. We help children become familiar with colors, shapes, letters, numbers, and learn skills that will help them build a foundation for their continued schooling.
Our daily activities include music, circle time, dramatic play, gross and small motor movement. Indeed, music is incorporated into the daily routine where children have numerous opportunities to sing, dance, listen to music, and play various instruments.
Skills used in living - friendship, compassion, cooperation, and kindness - are as much part of our curriculum as math and science.
Our programs
Infant
This stage is marked most radically with the infant’s needs to develop as unique individuals with behaviors and growth changes ever present.
Toddler
The toddler stage can be seen as one of the most challenging times and rewarding ones.
Preschool/Pre-K
For this age group, the most important aspect of the program is to promote preschooler’s self-esteem. In every area of his/her development – physical, cognitive, psycho social – the child strives and looks for adult support.

The Abbott School's bright, modern facility includes fenced-in play areas, attractive grounds, exquisite garden, carefully selected toys and learning materials, music room and an extensive library of children’s books.
Our program incorporates the collective wisdom of well-educated caring teachers whose focus is their daily interaction with your child through interesting and meaningful learning experiences, daily routines, and play.
Our staff encompasses a broad knowledge of Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Art Education, Music Education, Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, and Child & Family Therapy.
We are interested in attracting that group of parents who care deeply about their role in raising “good people” who will be able to use their skills and talents in an increasingly complex world. We understand the difficulties that parents face in raising thoughtful, caring children. Parents are in the best position to shape family experiences and they know their choices will have definite impact on their children. Our teachers over the past ten years have been committed to helping families in this process.
