The Washburn Agency The Washburn Agency is committed to making your search for the ideal nanny a pleasant experience
The Washburn Agency specializes in placing qualified nannies in the greater Boston area.
A nanny can be anyone from a college student looking for part-time work to a career nanny seeking full-time employment. We encourage you to contact us if you think this might be a position for you.
Each applicant must have a high school diploma, three verifiable childcare references and above all must love working with children. You must also be willing to obtain certification in CPR and First Aid. If you posses these things, we would be happy to work with you to find a position that is right for you.
The Washburn Agency is a referral agency which has an array of opportunities that include; live-in, live-out, full-time and part-time nanny positions.
Many nanny positions, depending on the employer, also include health benefits, paid sick, holiday and/or vacation time. It is our goal to make sure that you, as a nanny, are treated fairly and compensated according to the work agreement, you will construct with your employer.
A criminal background, driving history and reference check will be completed on each applicant before their portfolio can be sent to prospective families. We will contact you with each potential position, before an interview is scheduled, to insure it is a position you are interested in.
We will support and assist you throughout the entire process and insure both parties are completely satisfied with their arrangement.
The Washburn Agency is owned and operated by Michael and Sarah Washburn. We were born and raised in New England and graduated from Endicott College in Beverly, MA.
Mike received a degree in Psychology while Sarah earned hers in Hospitality.
Throughout our college years we worked as caregivers for children ranging in ages from six months to 14 years. Following graduation we moved to Los Angeles where Sarah continued to work as a full time nanny. Our personal and professional experience has resulted in an understanding of the qualities and strengths necessary for a skilled nanny to succeed in the childcare industry.
Throughout the years we have seen how stressful it can be for families to find exceptional childcare. We have also witnessed first hand how difficult it is for caregivers to find families that respect their position as a professional.
We returned to Boston to establish our childcare placement agency to serve families and caregivers alike. Our mission is to match families seeking excellent childcare with highly trained caregivers.
