Saint Joseph's Church
One hundred and thirty years later our needs have changed. We are no longer an immigrant community. We are a changed population with new people who have settled in our area in the recent past as a result of urban renewal, new job opportunities and educational opportunities in the city of Boston.For those who are Catholic, St. Joseph's Church provides religious services which allow Catholics to be fed with the word of God and to be nourished with the Eucharist. In addition, St. Joseph's Church provides a level of community sharing for those who come into the city. Above all else, St. Joseph's is a parish which welcomes people and invites them to share their talents with the worshipping community. Because of the great anonymity inherent in the city living, St. Joseph's is willing to reach out a helping hand in time of need and is able to refer the newcomer to service providers where help may be sought.In the world in which we find ourselves, St. Joseph enables Catholics to live the values of the Gospel.
